Valorize material and renewable energy, ADEME financially supports you in the creation, extension or modernization of a waste sorting center

Industrial sorting is often an essential step in preparing waste from separate collection for material or energy recovery.

The current fleet of sorting centers includes approximately 450 facilities with a sorting capacity of 7 million tons (all non-hazardous and non-inert waste combined).

ADEME intends to develop it in order to meet the ambitious objectives of two laws:

• The energy transition law for green growth (LTECV).
• The law on the fight against waste and the circular economy in terms of reuse and recycling.

To facilitate the pursuit of this objective, ADEME supports local authorities or private actors carrying out projects for sorting and preparation centers for material and energy recovery.
