ADEME invites project leaders to register for an “EnRChoix” type approach, by prioritizing sobriety, the pooling of production means and the priority mobilization of certain RES&R.
Thus, before making an investment in renewable or recovery heat, the project owner must demonstrate that the following points have been taken into account:
- Reduction of need: reflection and implementation of sobriety and energy efficiency measures on buildings or processes before sizing the biomass boiler room.
- Pooling of needs: connection to an existing virtuous heat network when possible or study of the potential for creating a heat network in order to pool the renewable heat production tool across several buildings.
- Waste heat recovery: study of locally available waste heat sources and their adequacy with needs.
- Consideration of other locally available RES: study of geothermal and solar thermal potential and their adequacy with needs (alone or in addition to biomass).
