ADEME invites project leaders to adopt an “EnRChoix” type approach, prioritizing sobriety, the pooling of production means, and the priority mobilization of certain EnR&R.
Thus, before making an investment in renewable or recovery heat, the project leader must demonstrate that the following points have been taken into account:
- Reduction of need: reflection and implementation of sobriety and energy efficiency measures on buildings or processes before sizing the geothermal heating plant.
- Pooling of needs: connection to an existing virtuous heat network when possible, or study of the potential for creating a heat network in order to pool the renewable heat production tool across several buildings.
- Recovery of waste heat: study of locally available waste heat sources and their suitability for the needs.
- Consideration of other locally available EnR: study of biomass and solar thermal potential and their suitability for the needs (either alone or in addition to geothermal).
Biomass:
- Biomass is an abundant but limited renewable energy source, so it is important to use it in an optimized way and where it is the most per...
