Food waste represents 10 million tons of lost products per year. It leads to the unnecessary consumption of energy and water resources. Greenhouse gas emissions could be avoided. All stages of the food chain are concerned.

ADEME has been supporting the fight against food waste for several years through:

• The annual call for projects from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food as part of the National Food Program (PNA).
• Regional circular economy calls for projects including a food waste component.

ADEME also supports studies aimed at identifying actions to combat non-food waste.
To help you implement your waste reduction project, ADEME can finance up to 80% of your diagnostic or feasibility study.
