The scheme aims to promote museum establishments and interpretation centers that meet public expectations in terms of scientific and cultural quality, validated by the Ministry of Culture.
It helps local authorities undertake ambitious investments in cultural development of territories.
- Local authorities (municipalities, inter-municipalities, departments)
- Association or foundation if it owns the walls and collections of the Museum of France
Are eligible:
- establishments justifying the designation Musées de France as well as projects for the creation of Centers for the Interpretation of Architecture and Heritage
- in municipalities or territories
- having the label Villes et Pays d’art et d’histoire, issued by the Ministry of Culture

- maintenance, restoration operations
- bringing up to safety and public reception standards
- preventive conservation equipment
- development of conservation centers
- modernization of museography
