Support the acquisition policy of museums with the "Musées de France" designation

Created in 1982 at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture, as part of the global decentralization policy, the Regional Acquisition Funds for Museums (FRAM) are financed by the State (Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs) and the Regional Council.

This scheme aims to support the acquisition policy of museums with the "Musées de France" designation in order to support these institutions in their development, enrichment and diversification of their collections.

Museums with the "Musées de France" designation – Public or private

• Eligible museums are those with the "Musées de France" designation and a scientific director from the body of heritage attachés or curators.
  
• Acquisition projects must have received a prior favorable opinion from the competent regional scientific commission for acquisitions.

Eligible expenses:

• In the case of a work sold by an art dealer or by an individual, the eligible amount is strictly limited to the purchase price of the work estimated from the seller's quote.
