Support for Large-Scale Tourist Events

By this program, the Grand Est Region decides to support large-scale events with a proven tourist impact. The aim is therefore to converge the strategy for events and the strategy for tourism to promote the growth of the tourism sector. These events will have two priorities:

1. They must contribute to strengthening the identity and image of destinations and signature themes.
2. They must generate direct and indirect economic benefits for the territory, which will be evaluated each year through impact studies.

Amount of aid:

Maximum rate: 20% (except for exceptions falling under other exempted schemes and statutory contributions and events identified as flagship within the framework of destination pacts). The amount of subsidies that can be granted by the Grand Est Regional Council is modulated according to the interest of the project and the projected operational plan.

The project owner will provide self-financing equal to at least 20% of the total amount of the operation (excluding exempted schemes). The support of the Regional Council from its own funds may be supplemented by the mobilization of ERDF or EAFRD credits.
