Promoting the realization of development projects for railway and road stops under the jurisdiction of the Region

France · FR

Who can apply Commune · Intercommunalité / Pays · Département · Région

This scheme corresponds to the harmonization of previously existing schemes in the Alsace and Lorraine Regions and includes a specific "Rurality Pact" component. The Region, as the organizing authority for regional passenger transport, defines the transport offer, the pricing applicable on its network, and sets the level of service that must be provided to users within the framework of agreements and contracts linking the community to the various carriers and service providers. Beyond these interventions that fall directly within its legal scope of intervention, the Region implements proactive measures to improve intermodality between different modes of transport and thus develop the use of alternative transport modes. Stations and stops are the gateways to the regional transport network and, as such, constitute strategic locations in the passenger travel chain. These locations, situated at the border between the transport network and the territory, must be able to benefit from specific treatments to mitigate the phenomenon of transfer for users, to anchor regional transport to the territories, and to provide services facilitating user travel. To this end, it is necessary for the Region to support local actors and project leaders in order to facilitate…
