Treat and redevelop public brownfields

In this context, the Region intends to pursue an ambitious policy of anticipation, treatment, and redevelopment of brownfields, by articulating the ambitions of the SRADDET (Regional Spatial Planning, Sustainable Development and Territorial Equality Scheme) and the SRDEII (Regional Economic Development, Innovation and Internationalization Scheme) implemented since 2017, so that its territories regain attractiveness and competitiveness, while consuming less and better space with the aim of saving agricultural land and minimizing urban sprawl. Support for regional coverage in SCoT

Through this scheme, the Grand Est Region aims to achieve SCoT coverage of the entire regional territory. To do this, it supports the emergence of new SCoTs and the extensions of existing SCoTs in areas not covered by SCoTs. In addition to this policy of supporting SCoTs and in line with the SRADDET, the Region, as an Associated Public Person (PPA), renews its support process for the development/revision of SCoTs. Finally, it animates the regional network of SCoTs in conjunction with the State and in liaison with the national federation of SCoTs. In the Grand Est Region, life expectancy at birth in 2012 was 80.8 years. This level is one year lower than what is observed for metropolitan France as a whole. Despite the continuous improvement in health conditions in recent decades, health inequalities persist. They are linked to the health determinants of populations, whether social, environmental or behavioral. Certain populations are particularly vulnerable, including young people and those far from health services. Young people today experience complex and ambivalent situations, due to increasing precariousness and the difficulty of finding their place in our society. It is necessary to create levers to co-construct more effective health policies for young people to promote their civic, social and professional integration in the territory. Particular attention must be paid to populations in isolated territories for whom access to health services is sometimes complex. The regional health policy will aim to act primarily through prevention and health education, taking into account the specificities of the territories and populations.
