Helping owners wishing to improve the quality of service to their forest plots by creating storage and turning areas

The development of forest stands, particularly their accessibility, is essential to ensure the wood supply for the industry. This involves a service network providing access to forest plots and the creation of areas dedicated to wood storage.

The Region will finance the creation of storage and turning areas in forests to ensure the mobilization of wood resources under optimal conditions throughout the year and with respect for forest soils.

To be considered eligible, the project must:

• Present a paved area between 300 and 2,000 m² per area, with a limit of two areas per project;
• Justify a mobilizable wood volume within 5 years, within a 500 m radius around each area, of at least 1,000 m³;
• Be supported by a qualified project manager;

The plots concerned must be subject to a sustainable management guarantee.
