Poplar reforestation after logging

Although poplar is an essential resource for the Loire wood industry, a chronic deficit in the renewal of poplar groves after logging is gradually widening the gap between needs and available volumes.

The Region continues its support for the poplar industry by committing to the reconstitution of poplar groves after their exploitation. Their reconstitution will contribute to the sustainable supply of quality wood to the local poplar industry.

To be considered eligible, the project must:
- Concern poplar plots located in Pays de la Loire, whose exploitation is imminent or has been exploited for less than 2 years;
- Include a minimum of 150 plants, up to a limit of 1,000 plants supported per beneficiary per year;
- The beneficiary must present a guarantee of sustainable management.
