Feasibility studies for renewable electricity production projects overseas and in Corsica
France · FR
Who can apply Commune · Intercommunalité / Pays · Département · Etablissement public dont services de l'Etat · Entreprise publique locale (Sem, Spl, SemOp)
This aid dedicated to the production of renewable energies aims at carrying out electricity production projects using the following technologies: photovoltaic for individual (ACI) and collective (ACC) self-consumption; onshore and offshore wind power; river and marine hydrokinetic power; small run-of-river hydropower and micro-hydropower on water pipes; wave energy; ocean thermal energy; osmotic energy; pumped-storage hydropower. The feasibility study, subject to this ADEME aid, concerns the evaluation and analysis of a project's potential (technical, economic, social, environmental, legal, etc.). It aims to support the decision-making process by objectively and rationally revealing the project's strengths and weaknesses, as well as the opportunities and threats it entails, while specifying the resources needed to carry it out, and ultimately evaluating the chances of success.

Fund multi-RES&R opportunity studies
France · FR
Who can apply Commune · Intercommunalité / Pays · Département · Etablissement public dont services de l'Etat · Entreprise publique locale (Sem, Spl, SemOp)
The opportunity study allows the project owner to have a comprehensive vision of renewable heat and cold solutions technically compatible with the needs of their building or buildings. The study of solutions will be supplemented by a multi-criteria analysis to identify the most relevant energy solution(s) following the EnR'Choix approach. Thus, this study will notably include: a succinct energy assessment of the existing building(s); the identification of sobriety and energy efficiency solutions to be implemented in order to establish a realistic baseline energy balance for future years; the analysis of all available renewable energy resources (connection to an urban heat and cold network or a geothermal tempered water loop, recovery and/or valorization of waste heat, geothermies, solar thermal, wood energy, aerothermal); the study of the adequacy of the energy needs of the building(s) and available resources; a multi-criteria analysis to compare these technical scenarios with each other and identify the most relevant solution(s). Aid is conditional on the use of a service provider whose skills r…

Implementation of waste heat recovery installations
France · FR
Who can apply Commune · Intercommunalité / Pays · Département · Etablissement public dont services de l'Etat · Entreprise publique locale (Sem, Spl, SemOp)
ADEME subsidizes, via the Heat Fund, waste heat recovery installations based on technical conditions: quantity of heat recovered > 1 GWh/year (in mainland France); minimum threshold for energy and environmental performance of installations; gross payback period (TRB) on project investment > 3 years. In addition, it is necessary to have carried out a preliminary study beforehand (energy audit or study of the evolution of the energy mix supplemented by a feasibility study), in order to confirm the consistency of the operation with the decarbonization roadmap of the industrial site and/or the company. Since 2020, ADEME's aid has been articulated with the Energy Savings Certificates (CEE) scheme. The modalities are specified in the eligibility and financing conditions . Taking the step of heat recovery will allow you to: have visibility on heat costs ; access high environmental performance by substituting this resource for other non-renewable heat sources; benefit from proven technologies with high energy efficiency ; successfully complete a project with a payback period often shorter than renewable energy projects ; to pr…

Studies on heating or cooling networks powered by RES and/or RES&R
France · FR
Who can apply Commune · Intercommunalité / Pays · Département · Etablissement public dont services de l'Etat · Entreprise publique locale (Sem, Spl, SemOp)
Your project: You have a heating or cooling network project between several buildings. You want to define a master plan for networks for your community. These heating or cooling networks will be powered by renewable or recovered energy. Depending on the regions, ADEME relies on certain relays to promote renewable energies . As such, advice, opportunity notes and pre-feasibility studies can be provided free of charge. Aid for investment in a heating or cooling network is conditional on the production of a feasibility study for the creation of a network or a master plan for networks for an extension. Aid for studies and master plans is conditional on the use of a service provider whose skills comply with a reference framework validated by ADEME (RGE Études with the relevant qualification(s) for RES production, supplemented by the “OPQIBI 1319 Heat and Cold Transport Studies” certification for the “network” part of the project), or who can justify equivalent conditions. Before investing, ADEME recommends using service providers, design offices or consulting firms, to support you in the preliminary decision-making and, if applicable, in the monitoring of the work.

Extension and creation of heating or cooling networks
France · FR
Who can apply Commune · Intercommunalité / Pays · Département · Etablissement public dont services de l'Etat · Entreprise publique locale (Sem, Spl, SemOp)
The objective of this financial support is to help you mobilize more heat and/or cold from renewable energy and recovery (EnR&R) production . The amount of your aid is calculated based on an economic analysis or on a flat-rate aid. This depends on the power of the installation to which your network is, or will be, connected. Some criteria must be met to benefit from the aid: Your network provides public heat distribution services (the community is the organizing authority). Your heating network exists in the fiscal sense , with at least two clients distinct from the project owner. Your technical network distributes only heat . Projects must be connected to physical EnR&R production units using biomass, solar thermal, geothermal, methanization, waste heat recovery – from industrial processes, household waste incineration units (UIOM), etc. – and/or cogeneration. ADEME's network aid focuses exclusively on the "distribution" function . It is conditional on the technical characteristics of the planned network implementation: additional production share of EnR&R energy density …

Install biomass/wood heat production facilities
France · FR
Who can apply Commune · Intercommunalité / Pays · Département · Etablissement public dont services de l'Etat · Entreprise publique locale (Sem, Spl, SemOp)
ADEME invites project leaders to register for an "EnRChoix" type approach , prioritizing sobriety, the pooling of production means and the mobilization of certain RES&R (Renewable and Recovery Energies). Thus, before making an investment in renewable or recovery heat, the project leader must demonstrate that the following points have been taken into account: Reduction of need: reflection and implementation of sobriety and energy efficiency measures on buildings or processes before sizing the biomass boiler room. Pooling of needs: connection to an existing virtuous heat network when possible or study of the potential for creating a heat network to pool the renewable heat production tool across several buildings. Recovery of waste heat: study of locally available waste heat sources and their adequacy with needs. Consideration of other locally available RES: study of geothermal and solar thermal potential and their adequacy with needs (alone or in addition to biomass). Biomass is an abundant but limited source of renewable energy, so it is important to use it optimally and where it is the most relevant energy to meet needs. Biomass will be part of…
